I'm going to be swinging by the Ferry bldg next week to pick up some charcuterie at Boccalone, cheeses from Cowgirl, chocolates at Scharffen Berger, nuts from Alfieri, bread from Acme, and so on... for a light buffet style wine and cocktail shindig, and was looking to complement it with a couple of more substantial plates. I just recently learned of Vive La Tarte and thought they looked really fantastic! I was thinking of ordering one sweet and one savory tart, but as they are quite expensive at $32/each, I was hoping to get some feedback beforehand! Has anyone tried them before, and if so, would you recommend them? Which tarts were your favorite? I'm eyeing the "Broccoli, Fennel and Bacon" as well as the "Spinach and Goat Cheese" and "Classic Lorraine". On the sweet side, I'm looking at the Walnut or Hazlenut as well as the SF Cheesecake and the Creme Brulee. Any recommendations or feedback would be really helpful!
