just went to GUELAGUETZA (westside - though i believe the other two further east are not related to this one? not sure) at the beginning of this week for the first time, and then saw the thread further down about mexican food in l.a. perfect timing!
i will be honest, though guelaguetza was good, i wasn't blown away, but i am also very ignorant when it comes to authentic regional mexican cuisines. i grew up in san antonio, tejas, so i will always and forever, know and love mexican food as the refried beans-salsa-guac-burrito-taco-wash-it-down-with-a-margarita tex mex stuff. the mole verde, which i had, was good, but not outstanding, but then again, that is just a note on oaxacan food in general, i think. i don't reallu have a baseline for how good the restaurant is in the grand scheme fo things.
anyway, i took some pix of guelaguetza though, if anyone is interested...the link is below.
