Any reactions to last weeks VV?
I was impressed with the amount of outer borough stuff.
It seemed a little scattered in terms of the categories, like they were trying too hard to be eclectic.
One surprise to me was Best Fried Chicken being at the All State Cafe, the little woody bar on 72nd betw. Broadway and West End Ave. I have eaten there but never had the fried chicken. They said that the secret is that the bird is dipped in vinegar before breading and frying so that when you bite into it you get a moist tang to the meat. Any body had it? I think they said the method was South American of some kind... (as in South America NOT the American South!!)
