i was recently in vietnam and had a really great sandwich that was like the following:
meatballs boiled in an oily salty spicy red broth
topped with very spicy chile sauce and pungent green herbs and onions (kind of like a salsa)
the sandwich was so spicy and good.
the vietnamese sandwich shops (mr. baguette; le saigon) don't seem to have this type of sandwich.
does anyone know what it is called or if there is anywhere that serves it in la? thanks!
