In San Francisco, looking for a restaurant that serves "Lau" Vietnamese hot pot.
I've tried the Lau dish at Pagolac & Kim Thanh Restaurant. Both were a seafood soup served on an open flame. Both flavorful and good, but not quite what I was looking for. I’ve also tried 7 flavors of beef, which is also good, not the hot pot I’m looking for.
I'm looking for the large boiling flavorful soup pot on an open flame, with all the ingredients on the side. Like Vietnamese Shabu Shabu - cook it yourself.
