We went to Vidalia on 3 April for dinner at 7:30. The restaurant was not even half full! The bread basket was quite nice, though we thought it was odd to get a drinks menu without the wine list - when we asked they made it quite clear that we were to read the drinks list and THEN we would get the wine list.
My husband had the onion tart, which was fine, I had the house salad with apples, nuts and blue cheese. The ratio of greens to stuff was a bit high. The woman at the table next to me actually sent hers back for more stuff! The apples and cheese and nuts were chopped so small they were hard to find.
We both had fish entrees, I had roasted rockfish over some sort of pistachio and apricot something, he had monkfish. Both were a bit over-salted, and I thought the pistachio apricot stuff was a bit too sweet (the natural sweetness had definitely been added to with honey or sugar or something).
Our wine was fine, the selection was good and there were some well-priced choices.
Overall I'd say it was good, but not quite up to the prices they charge (average seemed to be $25 per entree).
