I cannot believe this place is getting positive reviews.
1. was served the most grim, mushy piece of halibut I've seen since they were clearing the larder at Glacier Bay in Alaska. Mushy, rubery, tasteless. makes me shudder to think of it. Admittedly, some of the other entrees served at the table were good, but the double whammy was to be served a mushy, bland peach/berry pie-ish thingie as an excuse for dessert. $68 for a meal that most greek diners could've beat.
2 Wine list is disappointing. if you want to spend $250 a bottle, all good, We ordered a $95 zinfadel that was thin and bland - you assume that a restaurant that prides itself on its wine list would only serve value-for-money wine.
3. lame service. If we are paying you $68 for a prixe fixe, you are promising the magic carpet ride, not long awkward silences between courses. Our "waiter" was obviouly a battlefield-promoted busboy and it showed.
4. Blah atmosphere. all the coldness of the 4 seasons but jammed into a tiny roon that made you feel like this a party with just a few too many people invited in too little space.
really really really did not walk away happy. dont go.
