The four of us loooove food and our goal was to try new things this time since we go to Vegas, the capital of great food in one city, four times a year.
We hit the Bellagio Buffet on Sunday, at 12 noon and though the line was very long, it took us 30 minutes to get a table. This was one of the best buffets we have had. The choices were different than the usual ribs, breakfast, etc. etc. They had several fish choices made differently...barbequed, with lemongrass, poached, etc. Excellent. Filet Mignon, chicken wellington, sushi, pastas, pizza, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, and pastries to die for. Excellent and we gave the buffet a 9. Reasonable $27.00 with champagne. We tried not to eat so much since we were going to PRIME that night but we couldn't help ourselves. It was just tooooo good.
PRIME at the Bellagio....was an 8. No martini list which I find unusual since that seems to be the popular drink. Our waiter was very good and gave great descriptions and recommendations on wine, entrees, etc. Three of us had filets....the best steak we have all had. Talk about tender! My husband had the ribeye and why he ordered it, not sure since he's not a ribeye fan. He was not in love with his steak. The side dishes were a disappointment. They were not bad but they were absolutely to die for. Our experience at Charlie Palmers was our guideline because the side dishes there are outstanding. Desserts were very good.
Bouchon was outstanding. We gave that a 10. My friend had the creme brulee french toast with bananas. Excellent, full of flavor and very rich. YUMMMMM. I had the Croque Madame....great taste, super Mornay and very good fries. We loved this place for breakfast.

Red 8. This is at Wynn's and we gave this a 10+. Orginally we had reservations mistakenly at Wing Lei thinking it was Red 8. The hostesses were so accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They cancelled our reservations at Wings and took us right in at Red 8. Our waitress Lea was very helpful, great friendly personality, and her recommendations were very good.
The noodle dish we had was unbelievable...can't rememeber the name, first item on list under noodles, the Mongolian Beef generous with beef and flavorful, Sweet and Sour Shrimp was full of huge shrimp, Sui Mai...one of the best, and the fried rice was very good. It had atmosphere, great waiters, and outstanding flavor and taste on the dishes. HIghly recommend it.
Grand Luxe for breakfast...very good.
All in all, we had great food and I am sure we all gained happily some weight. Our next trip we are already talking about what restaurants to seek and find.
