Vancouver delights

We've returned from the Pacific NW. Thanks to all for your help. We only had 4 days in Vancouver,BC this visit but certainly hope to get back. Here are the highlights: We loved Bin 941 on Davie. The food was some of the most exciting we've had in a long time. The seared sashimi grade ahi was so good we had to go back a 2nd time for dinner! Vij's was great. The atmosphere and the food made the wait worth it. We had dim sum twice at two different Kirins. We think we might be ruined for dim sum any other place but at the downtown(Alberni and W. Georgia location). The steamed pork buns were the best I've ever had. We preferred the atmosphere at the downtown location vs
City Square. We did have dinner at Bishop's. While it was good, it seemed to lack luster and we found the atmosphere rather staid. Admittedly, it came on the heels of Bin 941 and Vij's. A friend of ours who had gotten married in Vancouver raved about the Sandbar...I'd skip it. The view was nice but the food was just ok and among the more expensive lunches we had on our two week trip.
