Once again Valentino's proved it is without peers in LA when it comes to Highly inspired Italian Food. Chef Steve Samson continues to amaze with his Sicilian Style Preparations. Fifty members of the F&W Society of So Cal had dinner there last Mon. The menu:

Appys: Zucchine Blossoms w/crab & Black Summer Truffle, Prosciutto-wrapped Fig w/melon, Eggplant Frittelle, Roasted Pepper w/Carmelized Onions

1st course: Santa Barbara Spot Prawn Carpaccio w/Uni

2nd : Branzino(Sea Bass)Farcito w/roasted Tomatoes Caciocavallo

3rd : Duck Crespelle (crepe) w/mostarda cremona

4th : Risotto w/wild mushrooms (the best risotto anywhere)
5th : Pancetta-wrapped Angus Beef w/bone marrow and Gorgonzola Flan

Desert : Red Wine Poached Pears w/ Crema di Marscapone
