Had a really nice time at Butter last night--first visit.
The matre d' was exceedingly friendly, as was pretty much all of the staff for that matter.
Had the salmon tartar with spring rolls to start with. Husband had the goat cheese salad. Both very good. Lots of goat cheese with the salad. Really liked the dipping sauces with the spring rolls. Salmon was very good, very cold and fresh.
For entrees had the crispy duck breast and husband had the filet. Again, both very good. Especially the sauce with the duck.
All went down well with a nice bottle of champagne.
Butter gave everyone big slices of banana bread to take home for the next morning which was a nice touch.
Will definitely plan to frequent the place more often. Beautiful interior---don't think I'd want to be in one of the tables in the hall leading to the door. But the main dining room was very pretty, not too loud and well spaced tables. Downstairs seemed a totally different vibe with the black and red interior.
