Had a terrific meal at Utopia in Waverly Place the other evening: One dish in particular, fried rice with seaweed and pinenuts, blew me away. Also really enjoyed dried bean curd with tofu and gluten clay pot. Almost as good, quail rice in clay pot (I had enough white rice to last a lifetime in one meal), which featured a steamed bird on some form of choy that looked a bit like skinny gai lan. The server removed everything but rice then poured a soy sauce-based liquid onto rice. Least appealing to me was BH's shredded duck and preserved vegetables.
The meal, with 3 sakes, came to about $50.
One thing I did learn when the fortune cookies came individually wrapped, with ingredients printed on cellophane: At least this recipe included transfats!
