I'm visiting family now in Utah, and doing what exploring I can. This morning we had breakfast at Carmack's in Bountiful -- a family-owned place. Had the best donuts! Their raised are fluffy & soft, but I was most impressed with their cake donuts -- I had a blueberry, and it was crispy on the outside, and marvelously light.
The buscuits and gravy were pretty good, too. Gravy has chunks of sausage, and the buscuits are all they should be.
I hear they use potato flour for the donuts, and that's why they're so fluffy. Utah does good sugar & gluten.
Also, has anyone been to these new taco stands? They're around Sears on Main Street and other areas. Worth the long lines.
