Stopped into "The Upper Crust" unexpectedly today on Harvard Ave in Brookline, and got a delicious 'slice of the day' - it was roasted pepper, tomato and spinach. Very very good. A thin, crispy crust, really solid. Fresh ingredients. Definitely the best stand-alone slice I've had in a while!
I am a Regina's fan; authentic north end just outta the oven Regina's...and though this style was different, it still had that same thin, crispy, crust that is a must, IMHO, for good pizza.
While I was in that area, I remembered all the chowhound ravings for Dok Bua and knew it was somewhere around there - but had no clue exactly where. In the event I find myself in that neighborhood again (or even if I don't, but want to make a special trip) can someone tell me where it is exactly? Any landmarks? I was right in the Brookline Booksmith area. Thought I might be close, but really had no clue, so the slice of pizza won out.
It was worth it, but still, I wanna try Dok Bua.
