Update on trip to SF and HMB

We just returned from warm california. It is 10 below in Nebraska today. I wanted to provide feedback on our dining.

Limon- was excellent especially the ceviche. We went at lunch so it was less crowded.

Slanted Door- again for lunch, food was good but not great and there was an attitude there as well. We tried some noodle dishes.

Gary Danko- Was a memorable experience. It was nice because one of us wanted the tasting menu and the other did not. I ordered once less course. Standouts was the crab salad, the cheese course and the chocolate souffle for desert. Service was friendly. The only complaint was the noise and the crowded dining area. Worth the money.

Also since we spent three days in HMB at the Ritz, we tried Navio at the hotel. Again we ordered the tasting menu and it was very good. The chef did a great job of interesting flavors and textures. It was worth the money and service was outstanding . IF you go there bring your own wine and pay the corkage. Their wine prices are out of sight.

Centrella- food was good, service was not. They had a murder mystery dinner in the other room. So much for a quiet dinner.
