A while back, in a thread about upcoming restaurants in Brooklyn, I posted a note about three new places coming to Atlantic Ave. between Hoyt and Nevins. Of the three, only the Italian restaurant w/rooftop dining at 411 Atlantic is still in the works.
What I had been told was going to be a restaurant between Hoyt and Bond on the south side of the street is actually going to be a bakery. It sounds like a pastry chef or baker from a high end caterer is going out on their own, so I imagine it will range from fresh breads to more complicated sweets. This is what's going into the building that is being completely gutted and re-worked (you can't miss it.)
The restaurant planned by the owners of Boerum Green is not going to happen, (they said they were too busy with the store,) but apparently the space will be leased out to another restauranteur, so something's coming...just don't know what yet.
