Several Months back though, despite hating Cheese I just went for it. Even though everyone honestly has many good reasons for disliking it though, I just did it, damn it! I just decided to go out & buy some without telling those who already knew that I hated it for so long. I'll just call this my 2014 "New Year's Resolution" as I try to dig deeper into my research though, ya know?
Overall though, like most, I absolutely despise Processed Foods including American Cheese Singles so that hasn't quite worked out well, but others aren't so bad once you get used to them. I've decided to try more of the Semi-Hard, Hard, Sharp, Extra-Sharp & somewhat unique types lately just to give it a go. As I do this, why don't some of you also be brave & try some things that you think and/or remember that you don't like such as Squid, Liver, Onions, Pierogies, Spinach, Octopus, Latkes, Broccoli or whatever your "threat" might be right now, alright?
A few that I've knowingly bought & may or may not try again are New York Sharp Cheddar, Italian Asiago, Romano, Swiss (Emmental?), PepperJack, American, & Norwegian Jarlsberg.
Sharp Cheddar(s) & Norwegian Jarlsberg are my favorites right now. I also have Appenzeller, Beemster, Cantal, Cheshire, Comte, Gloucester, Gouda, Greve, Kalari, Muenster & Parmigiano-Reggiano as my pics for the future. Some are more hard to find than others when it comes to Grocery Stores though unfortunately. :(
Please share any other recommendations & thoughts about these Cheeses & others. How did these Cheeses taste to you & what similarities/differences have you found in them?
