Hello. I'm coming into SF for a 3 days this week and am wondering what type of ethnic food does SF do best relative to other cities.
I have moved around a bit the last couple of years (NY, Houston, Boston, Philly). Just so you can get a sense of my tastes, my favorites places in NY (Korean-Kameoke, Japanese comfort food -Men Kui Tei, Indian-Angon, Chinese-Flushing); Houston (TexMex-El Tiempo, Mexican-Picos, Cuban-El Meson); Boston (Japanese Sushi-Oisshi, Cantonese- various places in Chinatown).
FYI - I'm hoping the answer includes comfort Japanese food (such as Pork Cutlet Curry/donburi-still have not found a good place in Boston), sashimi (always in the mood for sashimi)and TexMex or Mexican (still craving this from Houston).
