help for twinkie-like cake?

I've been obsessing with cake batters lately, but would now like to figure out how to "fill" a cake with frosting. I've been working on a nice french vanilla bundt that would be perfect with an annular ring of some kind of butter cream or even marshmallow fluff. I don't know how to even start going about googling for this, though. Also, which of the various "frostings" would be the best inner filling? I believe there was a recent thread on the different types of frostings (buttercream vs. fresh cream?) but I can't seem to find it anymore either .... TIA
