Turkish Find in Paterson

I had to eat lunch before a client meeting in Paterson last week, so I figured to wander a bit to find a bite. We went North of the Route 80 at Madison Avenue and found nothing but a wasteland, but south of Route 80 I was shocked to find a strip of Turkish and other middle eastern restaurants on Main Street. We picked one place, King Schwarma, simply because it was near a parking space we found. I believe, however, that there must be 5 or 6 other restaurants on this same strip that must be nearly identical.

I had a platter of baba ganoush (creamy and smoky), hummos, stuffed grape leaves, chunky and delicious falafel, and taboule covered with a pile of freshly roasted lamb. All of this for less than $10. I don't know if this restaurant is standard for the street or not, but the meal was delicous. It is simply amazing when you can stumble on an ethnic pocket and have a meal like this, when your alternative is fast food. If in the area, I highly recommend.
