Turkish Desserts at Brookline Family Diner

Stopped by this Brookline Village favorite and saw that they had an impressive array of baked desserts in the baklava and shredded wheat vein. I asked the friendly waitress if they were made in house and she presented the chef. He suggested a custard filled phyllo treat. It was the perfect ending to a lovely take home dinner of lentil soup, imam bayuldi, and dolmas. Not as overwhelmingly sweet as baklava can be. The phyllo was a little soggy, but I can't imagine how long it could avoid that with creamy custard within. It was crisp on top with a crushed walnut garnish - colored green for some reason. Anyway, I'll be back to try more desserts...
