tuna FISH. sandwich

Decided to grab lunch again today at FISH. here in Sausalito. opted for the Tuna Fish. Sandwich: Line caught albacore blended with nicoise olives, celery, red onion and a lemon caper mayo served.

My sandwich actually came out 2 very large grilled slices of Texas Toast (thick-sliced white bread). Usually comes on an ACME torpedo roll. Not sure if this bread was also ACME, but it was good. This was one of, if not the best tuna fish sandwich I've ever had. The tuna chunks were sizable and moist, and the minced/chopped olives, red onion, celerey and capers really added perfect texture and flavor to the sandwich; especially the kalamata olives. It also had 2 nice sized slices of Tilamook cheddar, one orange slice on top of the tuna, and one white slice underneath.

It came with a humongous portion of fries which were hot, crispy and fresh.

It's a pricey sandwich at $13, but they say they do make their own tuna salad inhouse using line caught Albacore. It was definitely a world apart from canned tuna. For all those tuna melt fans out there for whom it's not too much trouble to get to FISH., I would surely recommend this sandwich.

It was a tough choice cuz they were also offering a smoked Hamachi panini with Havarti cheese and organic apples and something else... Has anyone tried this or anything else real tastey there?
