Tuk Tuk

While it may not be up to the level as the Thai food in Woodside, I have to put in a good word for Tuk Tuk.
Tuk Tuk is located on Smith St. in Cobble Hill (formerly, the space was a tea house, but that didn't last long). There are Thai places spouting up all over the area, but, in my opinion, most make too many concessions to the western palate.
The green papaya salad is both refreshing and spicy, with visible strips of Thai chilis. The American fried rice is a bizarre combination of rice, Shrirachi, raisins, deep-fried vienna sausages, fried egg and a chicken leg. I know that it sounds odd, but it is actually quite tasty.
The curries are mildly spicy. I had the jungle curry, which was quite good. I wouldn't put them on the level of the finest that I've had, but if you live in the area, I'd recommend this place.
