Had a great meal at Trulucks Saturday night.
Yes, it's a chain
No, it's not Berlin
Yes, it's the Golden Triangle
No, it's not every-dish-under $20
Yes, the fish was very fresh
No, it was not quiet. Quieter than most, however
Yes, the Cioppino was terrific
No, it's not for everyday dining
Yes, we'd go again
No, I didn't have the steaks
Yes, wide by-the-glass wine selection , but I'm not an oenophile
No, my vodka-up/twist was not filled with ice chips the first time
Yes, it's white tablecloths and red banquettes
No, the lighting was not horrible
Yes, the service was attentive but not overly-so
But here was an interesting thing I've never had happen before: They followed up. That's right, the next day, they called my mobile (I had used Open Table for the res) and wanted to be sure we'd all had a good meal.
Obviously, my reputation is expanding like my ego and my waistline, the power of the FakeName opinion is now legendary.
<the above editorial comment is completely facetious, they did call, but almost nobody knows the true identity of the man they call FakeName>
