True Chicago hot dogs found near Boston!!

Hi.

A while back there was a thread going regarding Chicago-style hot dogs, and a few places were mentioned. While I appreciate Speeds, his hot dogs are very different then the classic Chicago dog: a steamed poppy seed bun enclosing a red, garlicky hot dog, covered with neon relish, onions, mustard (never ketchup!), a dill pickle and two hot peppers. Finally, the entire concoction is sprinkled with celery salt. . .Amazing.

Anyway, I finally found a place that makes them! Last night I was exploring the 'boroughs', and came across Beezers in Northboro. While it does a booming business at night serving ice cream (quite good, btw) I noticed a sign that said their claim to fame was a Chicago Red Hot! I couldn't resist, so I ordered one (along with soft serve of course).

A few minutes later I received a Styrofoam container. As I opened it the symphony of smells gave me a clue that this could indeed be the real thing. One bite and I was convinced - this was the first Chicago-style hot dog I'd had since relocating for Chi-town that tasted like the real thing! Gloriously salty, yet tart, garlicky yet mild. I'm hooked.

So if you are in the mood for a real hot dog, check out this place - it's on Route 20 in Northboro.
