Los Angeles hound will be in Chicago weekend after this. My itinerary is chock full and I have reservations for Tru one night, but honestly am not sure it's worth going to. I know it's sort of a mainstay of the city, but am thinking of trying Frontera or Topo instead. Or is that dumb since we have tons of Mexican in LA? In another thread, someone mentioned that other 1 Michelin stars like La Folie and Atelier Crenn in SF(both of which I love) were better than Tru. So I am basically at a loss. How is the dessert tasting menu at Tru? Would it be worth it to have dinner at Frontera/Topo and do the dessert tasting at Tru? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
