Tried this place a week ago - too long ago to report well, but wanted to post anyway....
This restaurant is cozy and well-staffed, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We only had entrees, one of which was lamb and the other was a lighter pasta dish. Lamb was severely overcooked on the edges, which made them pasty and grainy. The medium rare middles didn't have much flavor. Came with braised spinach which was unremarkable. Pasta with pine nuts, asparagus, and some sort of "sauce" (they were aiming for a rich, brown glaze, but it was like watery beef gravy) was something I would've been embarrassed to serve in my home. I hate it when restaurants create things that I could have done a better job with. I can't remember the wine, but the waitress was very helpful with the list and we liked it very much (adding to my foggy memory). We didn't complain about the food because, well, we just didn't want to get into it.
I haven't posted any glowing reviews yet, (I'm new to Chicago) but I'm searching!
