A Chicago Chowhound here, looking for Toronto suggestions. After reading past board posts the only restaurant that we have definitively decided upon is Chiado. We arrive in your fair city on Saturday and are staying at a hotel in Yorkville. A suggestion for Sunday dim sum and an upscale/fine-dining restaurant would be appreciated, no real budget as this is a special occasion.
A couple of places that look interesting from reading the board are Biffs, Boba and North 44, any input and/or additional suggestions would be appreciated. Hiro Sushi is on our list as well.
We also plan on taking a walking tour of the Kensington/Chinatown area and suggestion for Chinese, the real deal, not suburban Cantonese, would be appreciated.
I was also wondering if Toronto has any smoked meat shops/delis on the order of Schwartzs in Montreal, a smoked meat sandwich and a pickle or two would really hit the spot.
There will be 4-adults, two couples, traveling so child friendly considerations are not necessary.
Thank you in advance for any and all suggestions.
