This time, it's all about the atmosphere: a plea

"The Palm Court was dim and quiet in the lull before dinner. An occasional shadowy waiter pussyfooted in the edges of light and sound, checking on tables, flowers, unlighted candles. Our small table was an island in a hushed sea." - M.F.K. Fisher

Yeah, that should about do it... well, maybe something a little less formal...

A casual spot, then, but quiet... not too crowded midweek... for dinner and a, uh, rather sensitive conversation...

For the ease and comfort of both parties, the rendezvous should be north of the city somewhere, preferably easily accessible from the 128 belt between Waltham and Rte. 93, or in Medford or Arlington... and not a high-end place...

I'd like to find a soothing, spacious environment where the hapless diners at the next table are not forced to overhear a private tete-a-tete...

Dinner should be at least good, of course... and alcohol available for the nervous (me)...

Anyone who can steer me to such a place will earn my undying gratitude.
