With all of the strange English language names for Chinese restaurants, Chans Paris N in Arcadia may well win the prize. I mean what does Paris have to do with Tianjin style food and why the freestanding "N" at the end? Anyway the feature item here seems to be Tianjin Rice Combo dishes made with Tianjin Imperial Tribute Rice, whatever that is. Also on the menu are Tianjin bake-wraps (sesame, crispy, sweet and red bean), five types of Tianjin steamed dumplings, and other treats such as spicy numbing peanuts, snake shaped pickles and spiced chicken claws. Chans Paris N is at 713 W. Duarte Road, in the same shopping center as the departed Sakana, which appears to be on the verge of opening as another Japanese restaurant.
