Too Much Thyme in my Soup

Not on my hands. I was putting a half teaspoon of thyme into my chicken noodle soup and instead of carefully measuring it out I was tapping in a bit from the jar and added too much. Now my soup has a strong thyme taste (not inedible, just a little overwhelming). What should I do? I can probably add quite a bit of stock, since its pretty "thick" for soup. Is that the best way to do it?.
