Other than having a very doltish waiter (forgot my drink, didn't tell us the specials and asked us what we wanted to eat before he had given us the menus), we had a great dinner at Vert tonight. I started with a caprese salad and my husband had the French onion soup, both were excellent and fresh tasting.
I had ahi tuna as my main and husband had gnocchi that was the perfect consistency, light and flavorful with a tomato basil sauce. Husband had profiterols for dessert that came with a pistachio sorbet that was excellent as well.
The place was pretty empty for 7:30 on a Saturday night, which is a worry, as was the Grill on Hollywood. I'd just chalk it up to tourists not wanting to spend that much for dinner.
