I had never had pork rinds until I was visiting friends in Denmark, where I had these thick curly pork rinds cut about a quarter inch wide and a half inch thick, still with a lot of fat on them, and very hard and crunchy. I loved them!
When I came home to the US, I found that what passes for a "pork rind" here is a scoop-shaped bacon-flavored styrafoam peanut that sticks to your teeth and has all the crunch of cheese puffs. Not what I was looking for.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Does this exist in the US, preferably to be bought somewhere in the bay area (or even over the internet)?
