Ohhhh...I'm so ashamed to admit this to the 'hounds (and I hope this is the correct place to post this), but I am going to need to order my Thanksgiving turkey fully cooked this year and have it delivered a couple of days before Thanksgiving. I am going out of town for the days right before Thanksgiving and will be arriving home very very early Thankgiving morning. So, not enough time to defrost the turkey the night before, etc. etc.
I have checked the HoneyBaked ham website and they will deliver a fully-cooked roasted turkey. All you have to do is heat it up. (You do pay a pretty price for the fully cooked turkey, I'm afraid).
Has anyone had any experience with HoneyBaked ham's roasted turkeys? Any other places that deliver fully cooked turkeys within San Francisco that you recommend I check instead?
I figure I can easily buy the ingredients for stuffing and mashed potatoes ahead of time, cheat and buy cranberry sauce in a jar, and ask one of the guests bring pie. I guess I will just have to make gravy with butter and stock since there won't be any turkey drippings...but, I suppose I can live with that.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.
Thank you muchly.
