Will be visiting Asheville the week of Thanksgiving (3 adults in our party).
I've read several posts and have collected the names of several restaurants that sound good and will investigate them further to try to decide where to go (Tupelo Honey, Zambra, Nova, 12 Bones. Fig)
One item of concern for me is where to eat on Thanksgiving Day. I'm probably looking for the info too early, but so far the only internet info I've found for a T-Day meal has been a mention of a buffet at the Grove Park Inn.
If there are any Asheville area locals who are familiar with restaurants that typically have a nice Thanksgiving day menu or buffet, I would appreciate the info. If advance reservations are usually needed I'd appreciate that info also.
This will be my first visit to Asheville (and I'm new to Chowhound also), so any dining suggestions are welcome. We are renting a fully furnished home so will be able to prepare breakfast, but will eat out for lunch and most dinners while we are sightseeing. We certainly would like to do one or two nice dinners but are also interested in moderately priced places.
We enjoy a wide range of foods , are fond of Tapas, and love trying new things, so no limits on what we are looking for.
