I had a quick dinner at a Thai restaurant in Falmouth that's right next door to the Dairy Queen and across the street from the ballfield where the Commodores play. The restaurant is named Bangkok something, but I'm blanking on the name.
Anyway, the highlight of the meal was the tom kha gai (sweet coconut milk soup with chicken, mushrooms, and chili oil). It was piping hot, and had the perfect combination of sweet and spicy, with a generous amount of chicken. Among the best TKG I've ever had.
I followed up with my standard first-time-at-a-Thai-restaurant order, the pad thai with chicken. It was good, not too sweet, and wasn't overly peanutty. The chicken in it was obviously cooked separately and was dry, without the flavor of the sauce. The noodles themselves were very good.
Total, including a cup of jasmine tea, plus tax & tip, was about $15 or $16. Definitely worth the visit.
