Thai House Express and Pho Kien Giang

I wanted to say thanks for the heads up on Thai House Express and the stewed pork leg. So rich and yummy! I don't think I would have gone in there w/out hearing about it b/c I usually stay away from the Castro for eating, but I was very pleasantly surprised with my meal. Very spicy pad kee mao was great too. I liked that the veggies retained their crispness and the attention to detail in the sauces and condiments. Very reasonably priced, about $18 for 2 dishes before tip, and open late.
Also, I was craving pho the other night and found both PPQ and Pho Hoa Hiep (my two favorite places across the st. from one another) closed. Decided to try out Pho Kien Giang in the loin. Very clean room and tasty special combo pho. All the meats, even the offal and tendon, were very tasty and tender. Broth had good flavor and no lingering weird sweetness of msg, noodles were properly al dente. No egg noodles here, just rice noodles. Cash only and the people working were very nice and refilled the water often. C-
