...on a real problem...
I'm organizing a dinner for an assortment of rather-to-VERY unchowish relatives. One cousin in particular may be considered the Anti-Hound. She's the one who specified "no Indian, no Mexican". She likes "fun" places, the gimmickier the better -- everything from Little Caesar's Pizza Pizza to her neighborhood Chinese buffet.
So I'm hoping you city folk can help me. There will be about a dozen of us, including three teens and a 4-year-old, on a Sunday night. The out-of-towners will be staying at the Radisson on Mem Drive, which will be our center of operations. So I'm looking in the Cambridge, Kenmore/Fenway, Brookline areas. I expect we'll want to spend about $15-25 per person inclusive, so we're not looking for fine dining. We'll want to be able to kick back, relax and spend some time together over our food. Easy parking would be a definite plus.
The challenge: to zero in on a place that will please all of us -- including the hounds among us! (Oh yeah, for those of you who don't know me, I don't eat meat...)
C. Simon, do you think the Enormous Room might suit us, or is it too "cool" for a large, boisterous family group?
Anyone else have an idea?
