We went to Tebaya once this past week and it was so delish that we had to go back again last night.
Scrumptious chicken wings - succulent, moist, not too spicy, not greasy, just light little bits of heaven (check out the angelic wings logo on the sign and menus).
Oh and the potemochi are nice too - similar to Korean chewy rice cakes, but less gummy and more like french fry pillows.
Only one other couple eating there on one occasion. Go now and support some of the best Japanese food being cooked on Manhattan island.
Location - 19th street, southside, between 6th and 7th avenues (closer to 7th avenue). Mostly takeout or delivery (one small table, one small counter). Price - very reasonable - 14 wings + 3 potemochi + one can of soda = less than $12.
