2005 Vouvray, “Cuvée Tradition,” François Pinon (Loire, France): Light straw in color, clean and bright, the bouquet is filled with green apples and mineral accents; on the palate, the wine is true Chenin Blanc, slightly sweet (this is a “sec tender,” in between a true Sec and a Demi-Sec), with a silky texture and ripe apple and baked quince, accented with citrus and spice; the finish is moderately long and quite tasty
