So I saw this story in today's LA Times website. I've never been to the Taste of Newport in the 8 years I've lived in OC.
Did you go last year, and was it worth the money / time to attend? Did you get you fill of good chow? Was the crowd too much to deal with? What did you like or not? Admission is $15, and I understand there's tickets to buy on top of that. How do these tickets work?
After visiting the tasteofnewport.com site, I found out that the LA Times is the title sponsor, which is not disclosed in the story. The site also lists participating restaurants. Among the reputable shops are a few duds that *I* personally don't care for, but maybe you like `em and vive la difference. I'm interested in your opinion on the overall experience and if you're planning on going back.
