On Sunday, July 15th, at 11:30 am, Bourbon House restaurant will host the 2007 Taste of the Nation fundraiser to benefit Share Our Strength, the national non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The event will be a Jazz Brunch and Mr. Dick Brennan, the creator of Jazz Brunch, will be presented a special award by Chef Paul Prudhomme in recognition of Mr. Dick's contributions to New Orleans culture and hospitality.
Participating chefs are Leah Chase (Dooky Chase), Susan Spicer (Bayona), Frank Brigtsen (Brigtsen's), James Leeming (Dick & Jenny's), Gregg Collier (Redfish Grill), Gus Martin (Ralph's on the Park), Adolfo Garcia (Rio Mar & La Boca), and Ian Schnoebelen (Iris). Several of these chefs are veterans of Commander's Palace Jazz Brunch.
Tickets are $65 in advance and $75 at the door, with VIP seating available for $100. Tickets, menu, and more info are available at tasteofthenation.org.
