Although this place has been around for quite some time, I don't think it's gotten any play on this board. In fact, although I've throught about trying it many times, I only got around to trying it tonight at the suggestion of my 10-year-old daughter, who had gone with her mother recently.
Bottom line: although hardly extraordinary, Tango Mango is a very good taqueria, turning out flavorful food at cheap prices.
One orders at a long counter on one side of the restaurant. The service is friendly and fast, and one can take their food to one of the many tables on the other side of the restaurant. I didn't see any alcohol; drinks seem to be limited to a large selection of sodas, although I did notice that they keep out a pitcher of water and paper cups, which I thought was a nice touch.
I had two excellent fish tacos -- baja style, except that the fish was grilled -- and two very good tacos al pastor. The tacos were well filled with fresh and tasty fillings and served on double corn tortillas. The fish tacos were $5.25 for two, and the tacos al pastor were $2.75 each.
The menu comprises burritos (medium or big), quesadillas, tacos, nachos, salads and "mexican plates," with the highest priced item being the $9.25 fajita plate.
This place is definitely worth checking out.
