Please talk to me in general terms about what kind of chow is best offered in suburban NJ, NY, and CT

I'm going to be moving to the NYC area and will be choosing to live in the outer suburbs, either Fairfield County, CT, Westchester County, NY, or northern NJ. I'd like to get opinions about which of the three states offers the most in terms of chow choices, both restaurants as well as grocers/delis/supermarkets. I enjoy all types of food, from Jewish delis to ethnic foods such as South and East Asian cuisines. From what I've read, it seems to me that northern NJ is strong in the latter. Tell me your opinion on what kind of food is best available generally in which state, if that can be done at all. Your help in getting me to understand the lay of the land, in chow terms, would be much appreciated.
