I've been ill for a few weeks now and out of it with the chow situation in my area.
Anyway, one of my first meals out in weeks was to Taku. Husband and I sat in the lovely back garden. Shared the charred longbeans, edamame and tofu fries to start. All excellent----we're not really 'tofu' people but these were unusual and tasty, with a nice spicy kick to them. Husband had the flank steak which is from the small plates menu---was actually a perfect size to follow the assortment of starters. I had the black cod which was just gorgeous, served over miso eggplant.
Can't drink at the moment but they accomodated my request for a virgin gingerlime cocktail which was refreshing and husband had one of their great takutinis. Only service hickup was them forgetting our place settings when the first starter came out.
Glad to see the food is as excellent as ever at Taku
