Went to Taiwan Cafe again after my year away from Boston. Man I missed that place, we had beef with sa'cha and the eggplant with basil. Eggplant is still just as amazing as ever.
For dessert I planned to get myself a red-bean donut, but then we came across Rainbow Cafe, and I saw that they had tea with tapioca pearls (which my friend had never had), so we went there instead for drinks to go. Both of our drinks were EXCELLENT (we both had juice, not tea). For mine, she mixed crushed pineapple, coconut cream, crushed ice and water, then plenty of tapioca pearls. My friend had strawberry-coconut which was surprisingly better and less sweet, the only sweetener in hers was the coconut cream, then just plain frozen strawberries, ice and water. Lots of choices, very friendly service, only complaint is that the tapioca pearls seemed a bit too soft. Would there have been someplace better for these drinks? Overall, a great dessert for a hot day.
