I had a strange experience today after lunch at Sushisay.
We had a few rolls (5 pieces to be exact) left over at the end of our meal. I asked the busboy who was clearing our table to wrap up the remaining rolls. The busboy replied that they don't do that. Assuming my request was misunderstood I repeated it to our waiter. His response was the same as the busboys, "we do not wrap up food to go."
I was entertaining a client so I could not make a fuss - but it was not easy. Our meal was $140 without a drink. If I want my rolls wrapped to go...
Is this a common practice in higher end sushi places? If so, why?
Overall, my fish was lovely but our service was rushed and quite frankly, patronizing - all the while being very polite - making it even more annoying.
Anyone else this kind of expoerience at Sushisay?
Grr, Im still po'd.
