I have recently become a big sushi fan. I know about the trendy, relatively expensive spots on Randolph and in the West Loop. I am looking for a place, eat in or carry out, where I can get some quick satisfaction without breaking the bank on a Tuesday night.
Sushi seems to me to be a paradox, though. On the one hand, there are more sushi restaurants than you can shake a stick at on the North Side. On the other, I'm not sure I feel comfortable with the freshness standards of EVERY ONE of these places. Here is my dilemma:
1. Is sushi basically sushi? I know the drill is the same at many sushi places. Should I feel no apprehension whatsoever in dining at any of these places?
2. If not, where can I find conistant, reasonably-priced sushi?
