It was my first time going to Sushi Koyo after a recommendation from a friend,and the experience can only be summed up as excellent. The quality of fish is on par to that of Nozawa or Sasabune, yet you pay only about 60% of the price at those restaurants. This is a family restaurant with Chef Hiro taking his fish very seriously. Apparently this restaurant has been at the same place for 24 years. Some of the fish that we tried: Baby Tuna sashimi, blue crab hand roll, lobster hand roll, Ankimo handroll, Spanish Mackarel, Halibut, Butter Fish, and one japanese fish that I forgot. Too bad, on that day he did not serve Uni. I would imagine his uni to be as sweet and fresh as that in Nozawa. And one more thing, Chef Hiro is a very funny guy, not as intimidating as Nozawa for first timer. For those who have not tried this place, I highly recommend it.
