Had dinner there on Tuesday and it was the worst dinner We've had in quite awhile.
We were not greeted at the sushi counter even when no other customers around us and six or seven sushi men watched us being seated. Service was non-responsive, unattentive and unpleasant; but the worst part came when I saw my sashimi combo ; the Hamachi sashimi was badly discolored and the Maguro was some very old slices which I could not pick up with my chopsticks 'cause they were breaking into small pieces.
After over $60 some dollars and half untouched meal, I
was even more amazed and insulted by the sushi chef's nonchalant attitude when I asked him about the quality of the raw fish- - "no one complain about bad pieces, only you" was his combat answer to my question!!!!
I'm from Hawaii, and I travel between Japan and CA more than once a month, trust me when I say that half of the sashimi served to me at Sushi House that night would've considered not edible in either standard.
